Dalam era globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, keamanan maritim tidak lagi hanya bergantung pada kekuatan fisik, tetapi juga pada keunggulan informasi, kecepatan pengambilan keputusan, serta kemampuan integrasi antar sistem dan lembaga. Oleh karena itu, konsep C5ISR menjadi fondasi penting dalam membangun kesadaran situasional (situational awareness) dan efektivitas operasi di laut.
